Aims:
A basic understanding of the Standard Model of Particle Physics and its comparison with experimental data.
The course is required for students of theoretical particle physics and recommended for experimentalists.

Course description:
Quantum Electrodynamics, Quantum Chromodynamics and Electroweak theory
The derivation of basic processes from the Lagrangian
Comparisons with experimental data
The factorization of hard subprocesses in QCD
Chiral symmetry
The Higgs mechanism
Flavour physics
Beyond the Standard Model
